JD's Signature Keynote: Eliminate "Career Fear" Through Design Thinking
One of the biggest stressors for students is the pressure to achieve success after graduation. JD helps students confront this stressor by introducing the Problem-Centered Careers (PCC) framework, which infuses design thinking, problem-centered design, and social impact innovation into career decision-making. The five-step Design methodology teaches students patience, confidence, and creativity as they navigate make crucial vocational choices. His keynote reviews the framework while weaving in themes like impostor syndrome, mental health, and navigating personal relationships in pursuit of students' career goals. Attendees come away thinking about the problems they want to solve in the world, the skills they need to solve those problems, and fulfilling opportunities to put those skills to work.

One Student Said:
“Literally every word he said during his speech hit me square in my soul, and I was almost in tears because he knows exactly how I feel on a day-to-day basis. It was so reassuring to know that I am truly not alone in those feelings and adults feel that as well. I enjoyed hearing his speech because it was clear that he wanted to speak to us and was not just after a paycheck.”
